I’m presently offering a choice of workshops, in-person and live on Zoom. For all the fun details, have a look below! I host my own workshops and I’m also available to teach these virtual and in-person workshops to your guild!
BTW, I’m a published, National & International award-winning modern quilter, designer and teacher. I love quilting and I love teaching others to quilt. My goal is innovation, my passion is creativity and my gift is having opportunities to share new techniques within the quilting community.
I bring over a decade of quilting experience to the classroom and value creating a supportive atmosphere. I have taught basic, intermediate and advanced levels. My students would describe me as knowledgeable, well organized, positive and caring, but most of all an incredibly patient teacher.

Hover-quilting Workshop

My Hover-Quilt titled “Pathways” has been showcased in Curated Quilts, Issue/11, in The Appliqué Gallery! The Virtual Hover-quilting Inspiration Workshop is designed around this quilt!
For further inquiries or to register for a workshop email Peter at petersquilts@gmail.com
My Zoom Workshops are an engaging two, half-day event with each day starting at 10:15am and finishing at 3:30pm EST.
Class Description: Hover-quilting is a new form of raw edge appliqué, absent of fusible web. This innovative technique produces not only a beautiful controlled frayed edge, but also creates the illusion of your appliqué to hover above the quilt top.
In this class students will move colour like never before! using HST’s in a new way to create several design elements such as ‘Cathedral Window’, ‘Pathways’, ‘Lattice Work”, and a ‘School of Fabric’.
On day one students will focus on preparing their quilt sandwich, make 36 HST’s and glue baste everything in place. On day two students will complete a 16-inch square mini hover-quilt and while doing so will learn the unique design elements that make this technique so versatile and creative.
I’m so very pleased my Hover Kits have been made with top quality products and include beautiful prints called “Shimmer” from Northcott Fabrics, Artisan Spirit Collection and have been paired with solids from Cherrywood Hand Dyed Fabrics! The gorgeous backing fabric is from the Stonehenge 10th anniversary special edition, from Northcott Fabrics as well!
