Watercolour Quilt

Hello folks, I am so very thrilled and honoured to announce Watercolour, has been juried into Quilt Canada 2021, happening virtually on June 17th – 19th, 2021.

Exciting news! I’m presenting “Hover Quilting – A Fresh Look at Raw Edge Appliqué” at The Celebration of Quilting in Canada!

Join me for this special event happening on June 19th, starting at 6:15pm, EST. I’m the Saturday night closer!

Please support Quilt Canada this year. This show is vital to our Quilting Community.

Watercolour Quilt measures 77 inches wide and 78 inches tall and is my take on combining a kaleidoscope and star quilt. This quilt contains over 900 pieces of raw edge appliqué that have been individually basted and quilted and was constructed using the Hover-quilting technique.

Hover-quilting is a fresh new approach to raw edge appliqué, absent of fusible-web. This innovative technique allows for a beautiful controlled fray edge and creates the illusion of your piecing to hover above the quilt top.

Turning fabric into watercolour and turning your quilt into a painting!
