Wedding Ring won 3rd place in the Modern category at Quilt Canada 2023.
This quilt is titled Wedding Ring, measures 57 inches square and is my take on the much loved classic, Wedding Ring Quilt.
I pushed outside the box while thinking about and then making Wedding Ring, from neutral coloured gentle curves to a brightly coloured, improv inset circle, matchstick quilting, big stitch slide quilting and beadwork.
I’m very pleased with the outcome and I’ve really surprised myself with how much I have enjoyed doing big stitch slide quilting and beadwork for the first time!
