Spool Dash won 2nd Place in the Modern Category at Quilt Canada 2023.
I loved making this quilt titled Spool Dash that measures 63 inches wide and 77 inches tall.
I designed Spool Dash for Benartex’s e-magazine Modern by the Yard.
The fabric collection is called Colorweave. I love designing with subtle prints that look like solids, but have more depth and added texture.
I’ve combined two popular quilting technics, Matchstick Quilting and Big Stitch Slide Quilting to create a unique texture on the surface of this quilt and I’m very pleased with the outcome.
