Origami Green

Making this quilt defiantly took time, but when you are creating a special gift for @callmecarlucho, time is irrelevant.

Origami Green measures 72 inches wide and 86 inches tall and contains over 1500 pieces of Cherrywood Hand Dyed Fabrics.

Did you know, Cherrywood Hand Dyed Fabrics is available in over 200 different colours! To get this quilt started I selected 150 different colours and cut 300, 6 inch squares.

I then layered 5 coloured squares on top of each other and did the stack and whack technique to distribute the colours.

My formula for each set of 5 was to put together 3 complimentary colours and add one odd ball colour and one square of green fabric as the common connector in each set of 5.
